Currently, there are no civilians of Azerbaijan in Afghanistan. Such a statement made the head of the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan Leila Abdullayev.
Abdullayeva reminded that in accordance with the order of the President of Azerbaijan of July 28, 2021, Ilham Mamedov was appointed Ambassador of Azerbaijan in Afghanistan.
“After appointment, Ambassador to Afghanistan has not yet left. As for civilians of Azerbaijan in this country, now there are no them there. Azerbaijani peacekeepers continue their service in Afghanistan,” said the representative of the Azerbaijani extracenecomy department.
