Israel requires UN to introduce sanctions against Iran

Israel encourages the UN Security Council to condemn and accept sanctions against Iran due to the fact that the Islamic Republic is “a state threatening in international waters.” Anadolu reports that this is stated in the letter of the Permanent Representative of Israel in the UN Gilad Erdan in UN Security Council.

In a letter, the Erdan accused Iran in an attack on July 29 in the Indian Ocean on the vessel of the Israeli company Mercer Street, directed from Tanzania to the UAE. As a result of the incident, two crew members were killed – citizens of Great Britain and Romania.

Erdan stressed that “the UN should not keep silence in the question of offenses from … organizations supported by Iran in all corners of the region.”
