At a meeting on a nuclear problem that will be held in Istanbul at the level of deputy ministers of foreign affairs of Great Britain, France and Germany, European participants in a nuclear transaction with Iran, the so -called E3 Iran will be represented by Majid Takhta Revani Majid and Kazem Garibabadi,
.
According to the information received by the Anadolu agency, the deputy ministers of Foreign Affairs Iran Revani and Garibabadi arrived in Istanbul to participate in a meeting with high -ranking diplomats from the UK, France and Germany.
During the negotiations that will be held at the Iranian Consulate General in Istanbul, Tehran’s nuclear program will be discussed.
The meeting of the “Big Three” and Iran was scheduled for May 2 in Rome, but it was canceled after the transfer of negotiations between the United States and Iran.
Iran is concerned that the so -called “trigger”, which can allow the restraint of the United Nations (UN), removed as part of a nuclear transaction signed in 2015, is in the hands of European countries.
The validity of this mechanism expires on October 18. It is expected that European countries will be able to use this mechanism before this date, if a solution is not found under the nuclear program of Iran.
In an article published on May 11 in the French newspaper Le Point, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Erakchi said that the “incorrect use of the trigger” will have consequences: “This situation can mean not only the termination of the role of Europe in the agreement, but also the escalation of tension, which may become irreversible.”
Erakchi called on European countries to conduct “nuclear negotiations” with Iran.
