Advisor to Russian President Vladimir Putin and the head of the Russian delegation at negotiations in Istanbul, Vladimir Medinsky, said that they are aimed at achieving the long -term world in negotiations with Ukraine.
“Our delegation intends to work constructively and find possible solutions and common points,” he said.
Medinsky spoke to representatives of the press near the building of the Consulate General of Russia in Istanbul.
Medinsky noted that Russian President Putin held a meeting on the process of preparing a delegation on May 14, which will participate in negotiations with Ukraine. He added that the meeting was determined at the negotiations.
“We are considering negotiations as a continuation of peace negotiations in Istanbul, which were torn off by Ukraine in 2022. Our delegation was approved by decree of the head of state and has all the authority to continue negotiations. Our delegation intends to work structurally and find possible decisions and points of contact. Our goal in direct negotiations with Ukraine is to eliminate the indigenous causes of the crisis and early or late or late long -term world, ”Medinsky said.
