The Italian government is preparing a new (already 3rd in a row) powerful military assistance package for Ukraine. It is expected that they will be announced on May 19.
The full list is classified, but it is reliably known that FH70 howitzers, mortars, STINGER MANPADS, machine guns, armored LINCE SUVs, as well as ammunition will definitely enter.
According to the military correspondent Andrei Tsaplienko, the FH70 is an outdated artillery system compared to the American-British M777, however, due to automated loading of shells, an experienced crew can take shots every 10 seconds.
FH70 beats with 43-kilogram fragmentation-fluent shells L15A1. The maximum flight range is 24-30 km depending on the shells. By the way, the system is in service with the armies of Germany, Italy, Great Britain, Japan, Estonia, Norway, the Netherlands and several other countries.
