Italy will increase military expenses

The Minister of Defense of Italy Lorenzo Guerini signed a document on three years of planning, according to which Italy will increase military expenses to 18 billion euros this year, while last year this amount amounted to only 16.8 billion euros. It is reported by La Repubblica.

According to the newspaper, the future of the sixth generation TemPest is highlighted in the list of expenses, in the development of which Italy participates together with Great Britain and Sweden. It is noted that an additional 200 million euros will be allocated for this program. It is also planned to create a series of armored vehicles and the construction of two amphibians for landing operations.

It is reported that Guerini during a meeting of the special parliamentary security committee said that the fourth decree on sending weapons to Ukraine would soon be approved. According to the newspaper, Italy put several artillery installations of 155 mm caliber, but Kyiv wants to increase their number, and also asks Rome to send rocket systems.
