Italy intends to continue to support Ukraine against the backdrop of the continuation of the Russian military special operation in Ukrainian territory, the head of the Italian Ministry of Defense Lorenzo Guerini announced, Ansa reports. According to him, the Italian authorities have developed two interdepartmental decree, which determined the type and number of military systems and means to support and strengthen the defensive efforts of Kyiv.
“Italian assistance, whose technical details are classified, provides for anti -tank weapons, a near -radius air defense system, mortars, artillery shells, communication devices and personal protective equipment and survival sets,” Guerini added.
As the head of the Ministry of Defense of Italy noted, Rome is ready to transfer weapons to Kyiv, which are able to neutralize attacks from the Russian forces. At the same time, Guerini separately emphasized that the authorities will avoid disclosure of information about deliveries from a communicative point of view, so as not to give out vulnerable places of Ukrainian forces.
