Japan: 16 people were injured in Japan on lightning football field of lyceum

In the province of Miyazaki in Japan in the football field of the lyceum during the match, lightning struck: 16 people were injured.

According to the official news agency Kyodo, the training match between the students of the two lyceums was held at the Lyceum Oyodo Gakuen Khosho. Immediately after the incident, the Fire Service of Miyazaki arrived at the educational institution.

The victims are hospitalized, two of them are in serious condition. NHK state television channel reports that they have had a cardiac arrest.

The Japanese meteorological agency (JMA) warned that warm and wet weather causes low pressure, and as a result of the accumulation of rain clouds, ideal conditions for a lightning strike arise.
