Japan and United States will coordinate actions in Ukraine

Japan Foreign Minister Esimas Hayashi and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken agreed to work closely on the situation around Ukraine. They stated about it at a briefing after a bilateral meeting in Australia.

“We carefully and with serious concern follow the situation in Ukraine. Japan and the United States will be closely coordinated by their actions on this issue,” Hayashi told Journalists.

Note that the meeting was held in the sidelines of the meeting of the head of the QUAD countries (Australia, India, Japan and the USA) in Melbourne. The main issues of the meeting will be climate change, coronavirus and the confrontation of China’s policies in the Indo-Pacific region.
