Japan: discovered first cases of new Eta strain

In Japan, the first 18 cases of infection with the ETA coronavirus option were confirmed. This is reported by UNN with reference to NHK.

According to the Ministry of Health of Japan, 18 cases of infection with ETA strain found with a genetic analysis of the samples of people who had a positive result of COVID-19 during quarantine control on arrival in the country from December last year to September 3. The analysis conducted the National Institute of Infectious Diseases.

Coronavirus ETA version was first recorded in the UK last December. In March, WHO added it to his list of options for observation.
