Japan Reports 520 Take -offs And Landings From Chinese Aircraft Carriers In Pacific Ocean

In the Pacific Ocean, 520 take -off and landings of fighters and helicopters from two Chinese aircraft carriers near Japan were recorded. This was reported by Kyodo with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Japan.

The statement states that last week in the Pacific Ocean, 520 training operations were carried out on the take -off and landing of fighters and helicopters from the Chinese aircraft carriers “Laonin” and “Shandun”.

It is noted that this is the first time when both aircraft carriers act simultaneously in the Pacific Ocean. It is indicated that China “seeks to strengthen its ability to conduct operations in remote sea areas.”

In addition, it is reported that the Japanese government protested China in connection with the incident on June 11: the Japanese fighter of the naval self -defense forces, patrolling the Pacific Ocean, became close to a critically low distance with the Chinese military aircraft. The Chinese side assigned responsibility for what happened to Japan.

Earlier, the Chinese Ministry of Defense reported that the aircraft carriers of Liaonin and Shandun conducted joint exercises with the Navy in the western part of the Pacific Ocean and adjacent waters.

The Japanese government said that both Chinese aircraft carriers were noticed near Japanese territories from June 7 to 9.
