Japan wants to make peace with Russia and DPRK

The Japanese authorities will continue to adhere to a policy that is aimed at solving a territorial issue and concluding a peace treaty with Russia, said Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kisid, Russian media writes.

According to Kisida, Tokyo will continue his course on cooperation with Moscow, despite the deterioration of relations between states because of the war in Ukraine.

The Japanese Prime Minister also added that Tokyo seeks to normalize diplomatic relations with Pyongyang and solve the problems associated with his missile and nuclear programs.

“We strive to comprehensively resolve unresolved issues that cause concern, such as abduction (Japanese citizens of the DPRK special services), problems of a nuclear missile program, eliminate a sad past and normalize diplomatic relations between Japan and North Korea,” he said.

Kisida also emphasized that in order to solve these problems, he is ready to hold a meeting with the DPRK leader Kim Jong -un.
