Japan will introduce sanctions against Lukashenko

Japan will introduce sanctions against Belarus because of Ukraine already this week, said the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kisida on hearings in parliament, reports Interfax.

According to the prime minister, “Given the involvement of Belarus” to situations around Ukraine, Japan decided to “take sanctions measures against individuals, including the President of Alexander Lukashenko, as well as legal entities, and carry out export control measures.”

“This must be carried out during this week,” said Prime Minister.
