Japanese company to leave Russia without tires

One of the world’s largest tire manufacturers has decided to suspend the work of its factory in Russian Ulyanovsk in connection with the situation around Ukraine and military operation of the Russian Federation. This is stated in a Japanese company distributed on Monday.

It is noted that the company will stop working from March 18. New investments in Russia will also be frozen. In addition, Bridgestone has stopped exporting tires in the Russian Federation from today.

In addition, the company states that it will send through the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees 2.5 million euros helping the Ukrainian side.

Suspend deliveries to Russia on Monday also announced the Japanese company Fujitsu (“Fujitz”), which produces electronics, including laptops.
