Jayhun Bayramov: Armenia imitates negotiations and does not fulfill its obligations

“Azerbaijan is committed to the regional world, stability and development.” This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jahun Bayramov, speaking as part of the 77th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to him, the development of good neighborly relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia is the key to the world in the South Caucasus.

“simultaneously with the development of liberated territories, Azerbaijan initiated the process of normalizing relations with Armenia, based on mutual respect for the territorial integrity and independence of the two countries within their borders,” Bayramov said.

He noted that Azerbaijan has repeatedly made an initiative to work out a peace agreement with Armenia and approved the relevant commission for this purpose. At the same time, Azerbaijan expressed his readiness to work on the delimitation of the border with Armenia, unlocking communications in the region and the creation of the Zangezur corridor.

“Armenia still adheres to the practice of simulating negotiations and instead of fulfilling its obligations, often resorts to provocations to break the peace process,” he said.
