“We hope that Armenia is finally constructively and sincerely connect to negotiations.” This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jahun Bayramov during a speech at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
According to him, despite the reckless actions of Armenia, Azerbaijan showed maximum exposure, goodwill and sincerity in restoring the ceasefire.
“After the provocation of the Armed Forces of Armenia on September 12-14, 2022, Azerbaijan was involved in the elimination of humanitarian consequences and in this context declared his readiness to unilaterally return the remains of the dead soldiers and informed the International Committee of the Red Cross about this,” Jaykhun Bayramov emphasized.
The minister noted that Azerbaijan is not interested and cannot be interested in tension.
“In fact, recent hostilities occurred near areas where large -scale investments and reconstruction projects are carried out after the conflict. In addition, recent tension is very consistent with the picture that we observe in Armenia over the past 30 years. Each time, Armenia resorts to serious Provocations, moving away from liability for making the necessary decisions in order to make a breakthrough at a decisive stage. I would like the current leadership of Armenia to not go along the path of its predecessors and not again close the window of opportunities for peace and security in the region, ”the head of the department said.
Minister Bayramov emphasized that Azerbaijan is determined to overcome any threats to his sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the security of his citizens, and called on Armenia to refrain from further escalation of the situation.
