J. Baires noted that the relationship between Azerbaijan and Italy is at a high level of development. The Minister noted the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan to this country in February last year, the signing of agreements during the visit, including the joint declaration of strengthening the multidimensional strategic partnership.
The Minister informed Italian parliamentarians about the current situation in the region after the end of the 44-day domestic war, issues related to the implementation of tripartite statements, including the possibility of normalizing relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia based on compliance with the principles of international law.
The Minister also brought to the attention of the Chairman of the Commission the fact that the liberated territories were mined by Armenia and this country still refuses to provide Azerbaijan information about the location of the min.
V.Petrozhelli noted that conflict related issues are always in the focus of the Senate of Italy. He stated that its completion is great success for the entire region.
He also said about the available prospects for the comprehensive development of bilateral relations.
