Johnson: In rise in price of life in Britain, you need to blame Putin

The decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin to start the invasion of Ukraine was the main reason for the slowdown in the UK after the Pandemia of the Coronavirus. The Russian BBC service reports that the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson stated this

During a performance in the city of Blackpool (North-West England), Johnson spoke of the rise in price of the main products in Britain, the reason for which he called a sharp increase in energy prices associated with the war in Ukraine.

The British Prime Minister, in particular, said that among the causes of the financial difficulties experienced by the UK, the consequences of the Covid-19 pandemic, but the Putin war against Ukraine “did not leave stone on the stone” from the chances of the country’s economy.

Turning to the British, Johnson noted that he knows about the position of part of the British society, which considers the price of supporting London of Ukraine “too high.” Such people believe that Kyiv “must be convinced to agree to everything that Putin asks,” said the head of the British government. However, according to Johnson, this cannot be done.

Commenting on the possibility of the declination of Ukraine to the “world on bad conditions”, that is, to the territorial concessions of Russia, Johnson called such a development of events “completely unacceptable from a moral point of view.”
