Joint Statement of Ministry of Health, State Agency for Mandatory Insurance and Təbian

The Ministry of Health, the State Agency for Compulsory Health Insurance and the Association on the Management of Medical Territorial Divisions (Təbian) distributed a joint statement in connection with the explosion in a nightclub in Baku.

The statement says that as a result, 31 people were injured, one person died. Of the seven victims located in the resuscitation department, three in critical state, the state of 10 victims is estimated as a moderate severity, six people – as stable. Other affected were discharged after providing outpatient care.

The statement also states that two victims hospitalized in the Narimanovsky Medical Center examined the doctors of the center, after providing first aid and assess their condition, they were released home.

As a result of the explosion, two foreigners were injured. Italian citizen was hospitalized in the republican clinical hospital with a person and jaw injury, its state is stable. Citizen Senegal was hospitalized in the Narimanov Medical Center, his state is estimated as critical, the joint statement says.
