Kamran Aliyev and head of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Iran met in Tehran

as part of the visit of the delegation, headed by the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan, Kamran Aliyev to Tehran today, August 31, a meeting was held with the Minister of Internal Affairs of Iran Ahmad Vakhidi.

During the meeting, the minister congratulated our country on a brilliant victory in the Second Karabakh war.

Having thanked for the congratulations, Kamran Aliyev emphasized that the relationship between Azerbaijan and Iran is at a high level today. The meeting also noted the importance of developing business relations between the law enforcement agencies of the two countries, the issues of combating various manifestations of crime were discussed, including smuggling of drugs and psychotropic substances, including the issuance of wanted persons to bring them to criminal liability, mutual cooperation In the field of security and law enforcement and other topics of interest.

Then the Prosecutor General met with Hekmatali Mozaffari, chairman of the Supreme Administrative Court of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The meeting expressed satisfaction with the development of cooperation between the prosecution authorities and the judicial authorities of Azerbaijan and Iran, the reforms carried out in the field of law in both countries were discussed.

The delegation also got acquainted with the activities of the Center for Statistics and Information Technologies with the Judicial Survey Forces of Iran. At a meeting with the head of the Center, Kazema Fonda Kamran Aliyev spoke about the work done to introduce the electronic prosecutor’s office and the Electronic Court in order to facilitate the access of citizens to justice in our country, as well as the expansion of the possibility of appeal to the prosecutor’s office and the judicial authorities. He also noted that the prosecutor’s office and the judicial system use the most modern information technologies, and that in this area close cooperation with authoritative international organizations is established.

During the visit, the delegation visited the correctional institution of Tehran Evin and got acquainted with the place and conditions of the detention of prisoners, regime rules and the activities of the penitentiary administration.
