In the presence of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the United States of America on cooperation in the field of critical minerals.
The document was signed by the Minister of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan Ersayin Nagaspayev and the US Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnick.

The program of Tokayev’s visit to Washington began with a meeting with Secretary of State Mark Rubio, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick and Special Representative of the US President for South and Central Asia Sergio Gore.
Meeting participants exchanged views on key aspects of the bilateral and regional agenda.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that excellent opportunities are opening up for Kazakhstan and the United States to further strengthen the strategic partnership through economic interaction, which will ensure the creation of new jobs, support for industry and business.
According to the president, Kazakhstan maintains active political ties with the United States at various levels and is ready to conduct a constructive dialogue to deepen multifaceted cooperation.
