Kazakhstan deputy paid for pro -Russian statements

Member of the Mazhilis (Parliament) of Kazakhstan Azamat Abildaev excluded from the Ak Zhol party to support the Russian invasion of Ukraine and statements against the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, the party chairman and leader of the faction in the Mazhilis Azat Peruashev told local media.

“He was expelled from the party, but not for the support of Putin, but for the whole complex of statements. There were still statements with respect to Zelensky and so on. Therefore, in general, his position (unacceptable for the party),” said Peruashev.

He also said that documents have already been submitted to the Central Election Commission to deprive Abildaev of the deputy mandate.

At the same time, the party’s website reports that today the Plenum was held, on which the relevant decisions were made. Members of the party council emphasized that the words of Abildaev contradict the position of the party, and also violate party and deputy ethics, while Ak Zhol respect and support the independence and territorial integrity of Kazakhstan and other friendly countries.
