Kazakhstan expects to increase oil supplies to Germany – Minister

Kazakhstan intends to increase oil supplies to Germany, said the Minister of Energy Almasadam Satkaliev.

“We started with small volumes at the beginning of the year, about 20 thousand tons are monthly. Now, as a result of the agreements reached, we plan to 100 thousand tons to increase the supply of Kazakhstani oil to the Druzhba oil pipeline to the supply of Kazakhstani oil to the supply of this agreement,” Satkaliev said whose words are cited by Kazinform.

The head of the Ministry of Energy explained that we are talking about deliveries, which are both in Kazakhstan and Germany. “We will study the possibility of supplying oil in large volumes. According to the results of these supplies, we can talk about an increase in supplies,” the minister added.

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier is on a visit to Kazakhstan.

As part of the visit, the German President also plans to visit the Mangistau region, where he will take part in the opening of the Kazakh-German Institute of Engineering and in the launch ceremony of trial drilling at the plant for the production of green hydrogen Swedish company Svevind.
