Kazakhstan may limit stay of Russians in country

Kazakhstan is going to limit the term of stay in the country of Russian citizens without a passport 90 days, local media reports.

The Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Kazakhstan submitted for public discussion the amendments to the rules for issuing to foreigners permissions for temporary and permanent residence in the country, excluding the possibility of obtaining such a permit for the internal Russian passport.

Now the Russians can enter Kazakhstan on internal or passport and stay there for up to 30 days without registration and another 60 days after registration at the place of stay in the migration service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Then you can apply for a temporary or permanent stay. Those who did not do this need to leave the country for at least 90 days.

It is noted that the public discussion of the amendment will last until October 10.
