Kazakhstan predicts decrease in inflation by end of year 2 times

Kazakhstan Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov announced a gradual decrease in inflation in the country. This was said by Smailov during the expanded meeting of the Amanat party faction, reports the Telegram channel of the Government of Kazakhstan.

According to him, by the end of the year, inflation will be halved compared to 2022 indicators.

“Despite the consequences of the pandemia and difficult geopolitical conditions, thanks to the measures taken by the country’s economy, it demonstrates confident growth. In particular, the growth of the economy according to the results of 7 months of 2023 amounted to 4.8 percent. Positive dynamics are noted in all basic industries,” said Smailov.

Smailov said that GDP per capita grew to 13.3 thousand dollars. “This year, foreign trade turnover has increased to $ 140 billion. Now the country’s international reserves amount to almost $ 95 billion,” Smailov said.
