Kazakhstan proposes to complete meetings on Syria as part of Astana process

Kazakhstan proposes to announce the current meeting on Syria as part of the Astana process of the latter. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kanat Tumush.

“The gradual exit of Syria from isolation in the region can be formulated as a sign that the Astana process with honor coped with its task. Taking into account the return of Syria to the Arab family, we propose to officially declare the 20th meeting on Syria the last within the Astana process “, – said Tumuch, whose words are quoted by Interfax.

On June 20-21, the Kazakhstan capital hosts an international meeting on Syria in Astana format with the participation of deputy heads of the Foreign Ministry, Russia, Iran and representatives of the Bashar Assad regime, as well as representatives of the Syrian opposition.
