Kazakhstan: workers were striking after insulting from chief-Russian

In Kazakhstan, in the city of Taraz, the working enterprises of KazFOSFAT went out. The reason was the insult from the head of the Directorate of Digital Transformation, Russian citizen Oleg Kulikov, who called the workers “rams”.

According to Kazakh media, more than 200 people gathered in the territory of the plant and demanded a public apology and dismissal of Kulikov. Workers also raised questions about raising salaries and payments for harmfulness – they demanded to raise it by 30%. They complained that they had to buy stationery and specialists at their own expense. Akim of Taraz Bakhytzhan Orynbekov arrived in the place. He asked the workers to record all questions and contact the akimat in writing.

The akimat of the Zhambyl district reported that the Russian citizen with whom the workers had a conflict, apologized and was dismissed.
