The “Underground School” is being built in Ukrainian Kharkov, the press service of the Kharkov city council said.
“The construction of the first” underground school “in the industrial region of Kharkov goes clearly on schedule, despite the enemy shelling of the city, frost and bad weather,” the press service noted.
The message emphasizes that all concrete structures have already been mounted, so the work is concentrated on hydro- and thermal insulation, conducting sewage systems, water supply and ventilation installation.
“Contractors promise to keep a given pace so that since March the months, the Kharkiv residents are able to teach children here, and the workers to begin the construction of the next such school in one of the central regions of the city,” the message says.
