Kiev, who survived the Holocaust, was forced to escape from the war to Germany. It is reported by Bild in his telegram.

Zoe Burde – 94 years. As a child, she had to hide from the German Nazis, and now she fled from Russian troops to Germany. Her evacuation from Kyiv was organized by the Klitschko brothers, and now she lives with her 70-year-old son Eugene in Heidelberg.

Evacuated, Zoya took the spoons that she took with her when she was hiding from German Nazis in childhood.

“I am glad that I am safe. But I really miss the house,” says Zoya. “Here, in Heidelberg, it is very beautiful, people are very cute, I really like old houses. But nothing can replace my own country”

Zoya constantly calls on the phone to friends and neighbors who remained in the Ukrainian capital. “We talk a lot on the phone. I should know if the windows are still intact in my apartment,” she says without losing the spirit. “My most cherished desire is to see my homeland again.”
