Killer of Turkish consul was detained in Yerevan

Kemal Arykan was killed by Sasunyan and his accomplice Crown Saliba. Sasunyan was sentenced to life imprisonment. In 2002, the federal court gave Sasunyan the opportunity to file a petition for release in 2009, 25 years after the conclusion, but these petitions deviated. He received the right to a new petition after 18 months. In 2021 he was released.
