Employees of the National Security Committee (KNB) of Kazakhstan prevented a terrorist act, which was preparing to organize a foreign citizen in the south of the republic, the press service of the KNB.

“From the beginning of the current year, the units of the KNB anti -terror has been prevented a terrorist attack using a home -made explosive device that was prepared by a citizen of one of the foreign countries in the southern region of Kazakhstan. Along with this, a radical religious cell was neutralized. Eight of its members are suspected of creating a terrorist group, propaganda and financing of terrorism, as well as other crimes, ”the statement said.
A total of 19 people were detained for similar accusations, four more citizens of Kazakhstan were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment.
