Kosovo leaders signed an application for EU membership

Kosovo leaders signed an application for the entry of a partially recognized republic to the European Union (EU), RP RTK.

Signatures were placed by President Kosovo Vyos Osmani, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and the speaker of the parliament Glauk Konyufta.

Earlier, Serbia President Alexander Vuchich warned that the submission of a statement by Profina would be a direct violation and collapse of agreements between the two parties.

Exacerbation in Kosovo occurred in December, when about 350 Kosovo police officers invaded the north of the republic, in the area inhabited by the Serbs. After the detention of the former police officer Act Pantich, the Serbian population entered the protest. Today, December 14, Belgrade and Protina will visit the EU special representative in the Balkans Miroslav Laichak in order to try to stop the escalation.
