President Kosovo Vyosa Osmani said that his country did everything possible for joining NATO: “Now the task of NATO is to open its doors for partners such as Kosovo, which has long contributed to the protection of our common values for the benefit of global security.”
In her speech at a meeting of the NATO parliamentary Assembly in Deuton, USA, Osmani noted that the world is rebuilt under the influence of conflicts.
According to her, the war in Ukraine reminded that the world has never been guaranteed: “NATO and all those present in this hall are united in the face of the brutal aggression of Russia against Ukraine.” Unity is not what will last on its own. How can we make this alliance by force, capable of strategically and effectively respond to the challenges of our time? “
The President noted that Kosovo contributes, highlighting 2 percent of his gross domestic product:
“In the next few years, we intend to double this indicator. Because the protection of the world conquered with such difficulty is one of our most important tasks. The task of NATO is now to open their doors for such partners as Kosovo, who have long been contributed to the protection of our common values in the interests of global security,” she added.
VOOS Osmani emphasized that the world is under threat of ideologies representing the past, you should prepare for new crises.
The president added that this is an existential issue for the Balkans, Europe and the whole world.
“When the world turns to face the Balkans, the story seeks to rewrite its dark chapters,” she emphasized.
