Kozak: Donbass is not needed by Ukraine, no west

“Neither Ukraine, nor their Western Allies needs Donbass.” This was stated on Monday, Deputy Head of Administration Vladimir Putin Dmitry Kozak, speaking at a meeting of the Security Council, reports TASS.

According to him, Ukraine in the course invents new schemes for settlement in the Donbas “from the field of legal creation.”

He stated that the provisions of the Minsk agreements that changes to the Constitution of Ukraine regarding the status of Donbass should be agreed with the “DPR” and “LNR”, ignored Kiev.

“Dialogue to define the status of Donbass has not yet begun, Ukraine holds in a deep secret, which she sees it, but obviously, it is not going to provide him with a special status provided for by Minsk agreements,” added Kozak.

He recalled that in accordance with Minsk agreements, the dialogue about the future status of Donbass in the composition of post-conflict Ukraine was to begin the day after the end of the removal of heavy weapons.

“They are in the Minsk negotiations, in other negotiation formats, in a whisper in the negotiators, declare the commitment to the Minsk agreements, but in public opinion, going beyond the negotiation door, say that the Minsk agreements are unacceptable, that they are a dying on the neck that they interfere To resolve the conflict in the Donbas, “said Kozak.
