Kremlin about Putin’s participation in elections

Russian President Vladimir Putin and his administration are engaged in current affairs, the campaign for the election of the head of state has not yet begun, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

“It is still early, the campaign has not yet begun. There are a lot of current cases in the Kremlin, the president has a very active schedule and a rich agenda,” he said.

Answering the question whether Putin decided to run in the elections in 2024, Peskov replied: “The president did not make any statements on this subject until the work continues in the framework of his usual routine work schedule.”

The Kremlin spokesman left the words of the former prime minister and ex-chairman of the Accounts Chamber Sergei Stepashin that the head of state should go for the next presidential term.
