Kremlin answered Pashinyan’s accusations

Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov responded to the words of the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikola Pashinyan about Russian peacekeepers in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.

“Russian peacekeepers are doing everything possible in order to ensure order and calm in the territories in which they work. They act exclusively in accordance with the spirit and letter of the documents that the parties signed,” the Russian media quotes Peskov.

Earlier on Thursday, December 22, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the Russian peacekeeping contingent, temporarily posted in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, does not fulfill its mission. He suggested sending the UN or OSCE mission to Karabakh and to the Lachin road.
