Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that the discussion of the new round of negotiations in Ukraine continues at the technical level, and specific terms have not yet been determined.
“There are no plugs. You just need to go through all the procedures. Each of the parties is waiting for a proposal for the terms of a new round,” said the Kremlin representative, answering questions from the Russian media.
At the same time, Peskov emphasized that the Kremlin does not publicly discuss the content of the Russian memorandum, which, according to him, was not even considered with the Ukrainian side.
“Discussion of such documents through the media can harm the very process of settlement,” he added.
Regarding the situation with Western military assistance to Ukraine, Peskov noted that the Kremlin carefully monitors the suspension of US arms supplies.
“The smaller Kyiv gets the missiles, the closer the end of the conflict,” the press secretary said.
He also commented on the topic of potential international contacts, indicating that the Kremlin will not in advance the preparation of a possible conversation between Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump. “We will never announce these telephone conversations, we will inform you in fact when and if this happens,” he explained.
In addition, Peskov added that during the evening an international telephone conversation of the President of the Russian Federation is expected.
