Kyiv denies Moscow’s statements about “Retribution Operation”

The representative of the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergey Chervaty said that the allegations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the death of 600 Ukrainian military as a result of a hit on Kramatorsk are not true.

Earlier on Sunday, January 8, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported the shelling of Kramatorsk and named the city “Retribution Operation” for the death of the Russian military in Makeevka. “As a result of a missile strike, more than 600 military were destroyed at the points of temporary deployment of Ukrainian troops in Kramatorsk,” the representative of the Ministry of Defense said on Sunday.

About the shelling of Kramatorsk in the morning on Sunday, January 8, the mayor of the city Alexander Goncharenko said. His post on Facebook talks about eight damaged residential high -rise buildings and two educational institutions. He specified that there were no victims among the civilians.
