Ukraine needs additional air defense systems and missiles to them – this is what, among other things, is expected from the NATO summit, which will be held in the Hague on June 24-25.
This was announced by the head of the presidential office Andrei Ermak in Telegram following the meeting of Vladimir Zelensky with the General Secretary of NATO Mark Rutte.
“On the eve of the summit in the Hague, we coordinate the positions and expectations of Ukraine. Partners should understand: the main thing is decisions, not wording. We count on a substantive declaration that will reflect real progress in relations between Ukraine and NATO,” said Yermak.
He specified that Zelensky designated the critical needs of Ukrainian defense. According to him, first of all, we are talking about additional air defense systems and missiles to them. “Russia strengthens terrorist strokes on civilian objects, and our partners should respond with increased protection,” added Ermak.
Earlier, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrei Sibiga stated that the participation of Vladimir Zelensky in the summit would depend on the readiness of the member countries to present “strong and specific decisions” to strengthen Ukrainian defense.
