Kyiv nationalizes Ukrainian oligarchs

Ukrainian authorities decided to nationalize a number of strategically important enterprises related to Ukrainian oligarchs Konstantin Zhevago, Igor Kolomoisky, Vyacheslav Boguslaev and Konstantin Grigorishin. Ukrnaft, Ukrtatnafta, Motor Sich, Autocraz and Zaporozhtransformer are transferred to the property of the state, Ukrainian media said.

The National Commission on Securities and the Stock Market (NKTSBFR) of Ukraine decided to ensure the forced alienation of the state of shares of public joint -stock companies Ukrnaft and Ukrtanfta, joint -stock company Motor Sich, private joint -stock companies AvtoKraz and Avtokraz private shareholder company “Zaporozhtransformer”. Upon permission of the regulator of the shares of these enterprises will be written off from the accounts of individuals in state ownership.

Igor Kolomoisky companies owned 42% of the shares of Ukrnafta, the largest oil company for Ukraine. The control package of shares (50% plus 1 share) was located at the Naftogaz State Joint Stock Company. The owners of the remaining shares are minority shareholders.

In “Ukrtatnaft” Kolomoisky, together with the partner Gennady Bogolyubov, owned about 60%. The rest are the state in the person of Naftogaz. The key asset “Ukrtanfta” is the Kremenchug refinery in May by Russian missile shelling.

Until recently, the owner of the Motor Sich was Vyacheslav Boguslaev, who in 2017 sold 56% of the company’s shares by the Chinese holding Beijing Skyrizon Aviation Industration Co Ltd. Due to the presence of violations, including compliance with antimonopoly legislation, operations with the shares of the Motor Sich were blocked, and subsequently arrested. Boguslaev in October was arrested on charges of Gosizmen.

Avtokraz company is part of the Group “Finance and Credit” of the fugitive oligarch Konstantin Zhevago. “Zaporozhtransformer” is a bankrupt enterprise that produces transformer and reactor equipment. Its owner is billionaire Konstantin Grigorishin.
