Kyrgyz journalist-investigator was deprived of citizenship

Kyrgyz authorities canceled the passport of the journalist-investigator of the swamp Temirov. The corresponding decision was made by the investigator who was looking for fake documents from him, writes The Insider.

According to the journalist, the investigator deprived him of citizenship, referring to the provision on the passport, according to which the document is declared invalid on the basis of the decision of the police department. The journalist appealed this resolution, since the investigator does not have such powers under the Criminal Procedure Code. However, the prosecutor’s office recognized the decision of the investigator legal. The notary also told the journalist that his passport was invalid in the database. “Thus, when considering the case, they initially believe that I am not a citizen of Kyrgyzstan,” Temirov added.

In January, a criminal case on the manufacture of drugs without a sales target was instituted against Temirov. And in April, a journalist was also suspected of forcing documents and illegally crossing the border of Kyrgyzstan.

The journalist himself connects the criminal prosecution with the investigation of his team Temirov Live, according to which the company of the son of the chairman of the GKNB Kamchybek Tashiev Tashiev Thai Muras won several tenders in Jalal-Abad.
