The delegation of Kyrgyzstan, headed by the Minister of Natural Resources, Ecology and Technical Supervision of the Kyrgyz Republic Meder Meder Tyvyev, took part in the 69th General Conference of the International Atomic Energy Agency (Magate). This was reported by the press service of the department.
The conference takes place in the capital of Austria Vienna from September 15 to 19.
In his speech at the plenary meeting, Meder Mashay noted the invariable commitment of Kyrgyzstan to the goals and principles of the Magate nuclear security. The Minister emphasized the importance of international cooperation in peaceful use of atomic energy, ensuring nuclear and radiation safety, as well as non -proliferation of nuclear weapons.
it is noted that Kyrgyzstan presented the results of the work on environmental and radiation safety. In particular, projects for the reclamation of uranium heritage objects in the villages of Min-Kush and Shekaftar were completed with the support of the environmental rehabilitation account for Central Asia under the control of the EBRD. Special attention is paid to the upcoming reclamation measures in the city of Miluu-Suu, which is one of the priority objects.

The document determines the priority areas of cooperation, including medicine, agriculture, training and environmental safety.
as part of the conference, the Kyrgyz delegation also held a number of bilateral meetings, including representatives of the nuclear security departments and guarantees of the IAE, Interpol, the OPEC, the Global Alliance of the mining sector and critical minerals under Unido.
