Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan intend to hold joint football tournaments

The leaders of the football associations of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan met Issyk-Kul on July 18. This was reported by Kabar with reference to the press service of the Kyrgyz Football Union (CFS).

It was attended by President of the CFS Mederbek Sydykov, President of the Kazakh Federation Football Adlet Barkenkulov, President of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan Arslan Ainazarov and the first vice-president of the Black University of Football Association Ravshan Irmatov.

The parties discussed plans to strengthen cooperation, key issues of joint projects, as well as opportunities to improve infrastructure, increase personnel potential and provide sufficient financing.

The meeting participants also considered the possibilities of joint organization of international tournaments, including world championships among teams of different age categories.

“The parties intend to continue to provide each other with all -round support, which includes a constant exchange of information and experience. During the meeting, all association leaders expressed desire and willingness to bring cooperation to a new level,” the CFS noted.

following the results of the meeting, it was decided to sign a protocol about the intent, which will become the basis for creating a working group that will work to improve the dynamics of football development in the Turkic -speaking countries of Central Asia.
