Large countries of Europe for first time did not give Ukraine new military obligations

Six large countries of the European Union for the first time since February – the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the Russian Federation – did not give Ukraine new military obligations, which may be a signal to reduce military assistance. This was reported by Politico with reference to the data of the Kil Institute of World Economics (IFW).

According to analysts, countries such as France and Germany cannot cope with the provision of assistance, and the supply of weapons “can weaken just at the moment when Kyiv begins a decisive counterattack.”

The head of the group of the organization that tracks support to Ukraine, Christophe Trebesh said that since the end of April, European obligations for military assistance to Ukraine tend to decrease.

“Despite the fact that the war entered the critical phase, new initiatives to help have run out,” he said.

According to him, at a meeting of Western allies last week in Copenhagen, the declared amount of new obligations for 1.5 billion euros of Meshizn compared to previous indicators.
