Large -scale Republican Race In Astana Has Collected More Than 3 Thousand

In the capital of Kazakhstan, on May 1, a large -scale republican race “Brallik ZhgriSі – 2025” was held, which was taken by more than 3 thousand people, the Kazinform correspondent reports.

The event was timed to the 30th anniversary of the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan and passed under the motto: “30 years of unity – 30 years of the Assembly.” Its main goal is to demonstrate the cohesion of a multinational society and popularize a healthy lifestyle.

Registration and collection of participants began in the early morning – at 05.30, and the first races started already at 07.00. The route ran from the territory of the EXPO to the Baiterek monument, passing through the streets of Turkestan and Akmeshit.

The race included various distances so that everyone could choose a comfortable participation format. For children and people with special needs, separate races were organized per 1 km. Fans of Scandinavian walking and mass running overcame a distance of 5 km, and more experienced athletes – 10 and 21.1 km on certified routes with division in age categories.

Particular attention was attracted by the relay race of 30 km (6 × 5 km), in which mixed teams took part, where at least one woman was a prerequisite.

Participants became people of different ages and nationalities – from professional runners to supporters of an active lifestyle. In parallel with Astana, the races took place in 20 regions of the country, which made the action truly popular.

The initiator of the event was the Assembly of the people of Kazakhstan, with the support of the Triatlon of Astana, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports, the Ministry of Culture and Information, as well as the akimat of the capital.

The race has become an integral part of the festive events dedicated to the day of the unity of the people of Kazakhstan. On this day, dozens of cultural and sporting events pass throughout Astana. Upon completion of the race, a prize draw took place among the participants.
