Larisa Alaverdyan: Armenians in Karabakh should accept citizenship of Azerbaijan

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev set a clear task to return Azerbaijanis who left settlements and houses in Armenia after 1988, and is already sequentially conducting this operation. This was stated by the Executive Director of the organization “Against Judicial Army” in Armenia Larisa Alaverdyan.

“Azerbaijanis lived in almost all areas of Armenia,” she said, noting that she did not see another way, except to come to terms with a reality in which the current geopolitical situation has changed in favor of Baku.

Remembering the conversation 34 years ago with the Azerbaijanis who lived in Zangezer, in particular, in the village of Agudi, Alaverdyan said that they could return here if conditions are created for this. “The conditions that Azerbaijanis were waiting for have already been created”.

Answering the question of the future fate of the Armenian residents of Karabakh, Alaverdyan noted that they have no other choice but to accept Azerbaijani citizenship.
