The Republic of Latvia handed over to Kyiv 1.3 thousand drones of its own production. This was announced by the Minister of Defense of the Republic Andris Spruds on the social network X.
“The next 1.3 thousand drones produced in Latvia, already on the way to Ukraine,” follows from the publication.
The head of the defense department noted that this year another 12 thousand drones worth more than 17 million euros will be delivered to Ukraine.
On May 1, the Foreign Minister of Latvia Bayba Brazh shared how the “Coalition of Dronov”, which is headed by its country, plans to meet the needs of the Ukrainian army.
In an interview with European Pravda, the head of the Latvian diplomatic mission said that the plans of the “Coalition of Dronov” are consistent with what Ukraine needs and this is constantly changing.
“You need not only the cheapest FPV thrones, but also more advanced drones of medium -range and the like. We are looking for these devices, buy them, if necessary, look for equipment. And also – the production and design of new drones. We are doing all this with Ukrainian partners,” the Minister of the Ukrainian Media quoted the Minister.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal on July 15 said that the Ukrainian military received Patria armored personnel carriers from Latvia, the first batch of new equipment was already delivered to Ukraine.
“Separately thanked for a new packet of assistance, in particular, the supply of heavy armored vehicles Patria. The prime minister reported that the first batch of armored personnel carriers has already arrived in Ukraine, and the next one is on the way. In general, we are talking about 42 units with a total cost of about 70 million euros,” Shmygal wrote in a telegram college Evika Evika Silina.
