Latvia wanted to buy Himars from USA

The Latvian Ministry of Defense, as part of a joint project with other Baltic countries, sent a request to the US on the purchase of a reactive system of salivary fire (MLRS) Himars. This was reported by Defense News with reference to the press service of the Latvian Ministry of Defense.

“The Ministry of Defense sent a letter with a request to the United States about the availability and prices of Himars,” the department said. They explained that this is a joint project with other Baltic countries, “and the Ministry of Defense counts on its support and financing by the United States.”

The number of American MLRS that intends to purchase in Latvia is not specified.
