Lavrov: “3 + 3” format does not oblige Georgia to change positions

Connecting Georgia to the “3 + 3” format in the South Caucasus will not oblige it to change its political positions. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Sergey Lavrov at a press conference on the results of the activities of Russian diplomacy in 2021, reports TASS.

“You can agree that we are discussing in this format only themes that are of interest to all participants. Moscow has no diplomatic relations with Tbilisi, therefore less opportunities to explain the advantages of the specified form of interaction. We treated our Turkish friends to Azerbaijani friends. To Armenia with a request to still explain to our Georgian neighbors to benefit for them and for all of us connecting to this format. Such a connection will not be obligued to oblige them as concerning their political positions, “Lavrov said.

According to the minister, connecting to the format “3 + 3” without prior conditions in the interests of Georgia.
