Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov arrived on Monday to Baku. According to TASS, in the evening, the Russian minister will meet with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
On May 11, the final day of the visit, the negotiations of Sergei Lavrov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jayhun Bayramova, are scheduled.
According to the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, during the trip it is supposed to consider a wide range of issues of bilateral and regional cooperation between Russia and Azerbaijan, as well as interaction in the international arena. Priority will be paid to the practical aspects of the implementation of statements by the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021 on Nagorno-Karabakh.
